Minister Maria Fatima de Jardim

Minister of Environment, Angola

Maria Fatima de Jardim is the Minister of Environment of Angola since October 2008 and President of the Mayombe Transfrontier Initiative. Prior to this position, she was Deputy Minister of Fisheries from 1990 to 1992, Minister of Fisheries from 1992 to 1996 and Minister of Fisheries and Environment between 1996 and 2002. Apart from his political duties, Minister de Jardim has held other positions as Director of Fisheries Research Center from 1978 to 1990. She obtained a degree in Biology from the University of Lisbon in 1974.
