Grace Wong

Senior Scientist, Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR)

Grace Wong is senior scientist at CIFOR, and coordinates the project on REDD+ Benefit Sharing and the ASEAN-Swiss Partnership on Social Forestry and Climate Change (ASFCC).  Prior to joining CIFOR in 2012, she worked for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Vientiane, Lao PDR on the Poverty-Environment Initiative, and for Conservation International in Washington, DC. Her educational background and professional experience have largely converged on issues relating to trade-offs between economic and environmental priorities, and the political economy of forest management in tropical developing countries. Her educational background and professional experience have largely converged on issues relating to trade-offs between economic and environmental priorities, and the political economy of forest management in tropical developing countries. Ms. Wong has a PhD in Forest and Natural Resources Economics from the University of Florida.
